これはシンプルに、歳をとっていることを意味します。

例えば

I always feel really tired after the gym nowadays. I’m getting a bit long in the tooth for kickboxing.
(最近いつもジムに行った後とても疲れる。キックボクシングをするには少し歳を取り過ぎているんだ。)

This weekend's lesson topic is about different stages of life so I thought I’d introduce this phrase to you.  “long in the tooth”

Long in the tooth simply means getting old. So for example.

“I always feel really tired after the gym nowadays. I’m getting a bit long in the tooth for kickboxing.”
