イギリス英語「Gutted」ってどういう意味？【日常英会話】

今日私がみなさんに紹介する単語は、イギリス英語では使うものですが、アメリカ人が使っているのは今まで一度も聞いたことのない、「gutted」です。

意味は、極度の落胆、そしてこの単語は私たちが不運の時に使う単語なので、今週末の赤坂校

I was gutted after Scotland lost 4-1 to England at the football.
(フットボールの試合でスコットランドが４対１でイギリスに敗れてがっかりだったよ。)

My friend was gutted after she failed her driving test for the 4th time.

Hi there everyone, today I will show you a word that we use in British English but I have never really heard Americans use and that is “gutted”.It means highly disappointed and this fits in quite nicely with our weekend topics in Akasaka and Ropponmatsu because we tend to use it when we are talking about having bad luck.

For example

I was gutted after Scotland lost 4-1 to England at the football.

My friend was gutted after she failed her driving test for the 4th time.
